Eddie Emerson

E.K. Emerson served football in Ottawa for more than 50 years. He began his career as a snap (centre), and then he played more than 20 years as a fullback and linebacker.
Emerson was the club president twice; the first time while he was still playing. He was a member of the Ottawa executive for more than 40 years and was a member of the Interprovincial Union executive for 25 years.
He held the record in Canadian football for most seasons – 22 seasons (17 of these were consecutive) at the time of his induction.
E.K. Emerson was honoured at a Grey Cup Dinner and is a member of the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame.
