Ray Jauch
Class of 2024
After two seasons as a running back with Winnipeg, Ray Jauch’s CFL playing career was cut short by a knee injury. Jauch quickly made the transition into coaching. He began his CFL coaching career with the Edmonton Eskimos in 1966 as an assistant before being promoted to Head Coach in 1970, earning CFL Coach of the Year honours in his first season at the helm of the club. He led Edmonton until 1976 earning six playoff spots, three Grey Cup appearances and a Grey Cup Championship in 1975. He later became the head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1978, serving the Bombers for five seasons where he captured CFL Coach of the Year honours in 1980. He joined Saskatchewan in 1994 as their head coach for two years pushing his final career totals to 228 games, 127 wins, 11 playoff appearances and 3 Grey Cup games in 14 seasons. Jauch ranks #6 all-time in both total games and wins. His overall career winning % of .566 ranks him among the best in CFL head coaching ranks.
