Clair J. Warner

Clair J. Warner began his playing career in 1919, two years after his family had moved to Regina from their native South Dakota. During Warner’s time with the Roughriders, the club appeared in the Grey Cup game four times.

Following his playing days, Warner held positions on the Executive Committees of the Roughriders and the Western Interprovincial Football Union. He also served for five years on the Canadian Rugby Union Rules Committee. At the 1956 Grey Cup Dinner Clair Warner was presented with the Canadian Rugby Union Plaque for his outstanding contribution to football.
