Chris Schultz

Chris Schultz had a successful playing career before joining the media as an influential football analyst on radio and TSN. Schultz played college football at Arizona, got drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and played three NFL seasons before joining the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts for nine seasons, including a championship in 1991. He was inducted into the Ontario and Burlington (his home town) sports halls of fame. During his broadcasting career he was the Canadian spokesperson for Purolator’s Tackle Hunger campaign. On The Fan 590 he co-hosted football shows from 1995-2010 and served as an NFL/CFL analyst. In 1998 Schultz joined TSN, where he was a CFL on TSN panelist while contributing analysis to SportsCentre and TSN.ca until 2017. In 2018-19 he was the colour analyst for Argos games on TSN 1050 radio broadcasts. Schultz died in 2021. Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame on November 19, 2023.
