James “Quick” Parker

James (Quick) Parker attended Wake Forest University before beginning his CFL career in 1980 with the Edmonton Eskimos.

In 1980, Parker would go to and win the Grey Cup in his first year. In 1981 and 1982, Parker led the league in sacks and was named to the Western and CFL All-Star teams.

He remained with the Eskimos until 1984 when he joined the BC Lions. In 1984, Parker set the league record for sacks in a season with 26.5, which is still an all-time record in the CFL. From 1984 to 1986, he would be named to both the CFL and Western All-Star teams. He would finish his CFL career with the Toronto Argonauts, where he played from 1990 to 1991.

James Parker remains third in the league for most quarterback sacks all-time during the regular season with 139.5 during his 15-year career.
