Dave Raimey
Class of 2000
Dave Raimey’s first two seasons as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were incredible as he became a member of the 1,000 yard club in 1965 and 1966 with 1,052 and 1,223 yards respectively. In 1966 he scored a 100-yard touchdown rushing and a 96-yard touchdown pass. In each of his four years with Winnipeg, Raimey was an All-Star.
In 1969, Raimey was traded to the Toronto Argonauts. At running back that season, he gained 829 yards on 129 carries with seven touchdowns, and also caught 19 passes for 306 yards and three touchdowns. In 1971, Raimey was converted to defensive back where he intercepted 15 passes and scored two touchdowns in four seasons.
Over his ten-year career, Raimey rushed for 5,528 yards on 883 carries for a 6.3 yard average and 25 touchdowns, caught 170 passes for 2,189 yards and 12 touchdowns and also played on special teams returning punts and kickoffs.
Dave Raimey was inducted into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame in 1989.
