Russ Jackson

Russell Jackson was drafted by Ottawa in 1958 and never missed a game due to injury.
Jackson led the Rough Riders to the playoffs every year he was with them. He completed 1,356 passes for 24,592 yards and 185 touchdowns. He was the Eastern Conference Passing Leader every year from 1963 thru 1969.
In 1963, Russ Jackson was the first double winner of the Schenley Outstanding Canadian and Outstanding Player Awards. He is a member of the Order of Canada, and has been inducted into the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.
